The Hometown Christmas Parade is an opportunity to celebrate the true meaning of Christmas while also supporting a great cause.

COVID-19 Update:

We are currently monitoring the CDC Guidelines for large gatherings for direction on how to safely conduct Hometown Christmas Parade.  We are currently proceeding as scheduled with some slight modifications.  We encourage attendees to wear face masks and to stay home if they are not feeling well.  Any changes to this plan will be posted here and emailed to all registered participants.

Thank you to all of our amazing parade entries!  What a fantastic parade you all put on!  The judges have picked and here are the 2019 Parade Winners:   

  • Best Community Spirit: #7 Glendale Elementary School District 40

  • Most Entertaining: #94 Dream City Christian Church & School

  • Best Appearance: #32 The Combat Dolls

  • Best Marching Band

    • 1st Place​: #63 Panther Pride Marching Band, from Peoria High School

    • 2nd Place: #24 La Joya Community High School 

    • 3rd Place  #117 Independence High School

Al McCoy

McCoy has been a Glendale resident for over 45 years.  He has been called the dean of NBA play-by-play announcers and is in his 48th memorable season with the Phoenix Suns, nearly the length of the franchise’s existence and the longest consecutive run as a team’s broadcaster in NBA history.

Parade begins at 11:00AM

Formation for the parade (at Staging) begins at 9:00AM

Hometown Christmas Parade will take place in downtown Glendale, AZ. Staging will be located at 51st Avenue south of Glendale Ave. The route proceeds west on Glendale to 58th Avenue where it turns south to the de-staging area.
